Important BCFSA Data Call exemption reminder: Reporting obligations
GVR’s member brokerages and managing brokers are exempt from providing residential real estate transaction data for transactions involving property located within the geographical area served by GVR, since BCFSA will automatically pull this data from us.
However, GVR brokerages still need to respond to BCFSA’s request to declare that all transaction data is within the GVR area.
GVR brokerages that list and sell properties outside of our area are not exempted and are still required to submit real estate transaction data for those transactions.
If your brokerage has no reportable transactions, you need to submit a response declaring so.
These declarations are due by this Friday, April 17, 2026, and must be submitted through BCFSA’s IRIS portal.

Volunteers needed for GVR’s Professional Conduct and Arbitration committees
We are looking for managing brokers to volunteer to serve on GVR’s Arbitration Committee.
Arbitrators play a key role in resolving commission disputes between brokerages by acting as impartial decision-makers who review evidence and determine fair outcomes. Because of the nature of this work, the committee requires managing brokers with significant experience and a high standard of professionalism.
Learn more about the requirements and commitments of Arbitration Committee members.
We also need volunteers to sit on our Professional Conduct Committee.
While you do not need to be a managing broker to volunteer on this committee, we are looking for members with several years of industry experience and a strong understanding of the rules that guide our work.

If these sound like opportunities you, a broker you know, or a member in your office would thrive in, fill out our application form.
