Volunteers needed for GVR’s Professional Conduct and Arbitration committees
We are looking for managing brokers to volunteer to serve on GVR’s Arbitration Committee.
Arbitrators play a key role in resolving commission disputes between brokerages by acting as impartial decision-makers who review evidence and determine fair outcomes. Because of the nature of this work, the committee requires managing brokers with significant experience and a high standard of professionalism.
Learn more about the requirements and commitments of Arbitration Committee members.
We also need volunteers to sit on our Professional Conduct Committee.
While you do not need to be a managing broker to volunteer on this committee, we are looking for members with several years of industry experience and a strong understanding of the rules that guide our work.

If these sound like opportunities you, a broker you know, or a member in your office would thrive in, fill out our application form.

Read BCREA’s letter to members about the recent Musqueam decision
We are fully aligned with the BC Real Estate Association's (BCREA) position on the ongoing Aboriginal title litigation issues evolving within the province.
BCREA recently shared a letter with BC REALTORS® regarding newly announced agreements between the Musqueam Indian Band and the Government of Canada, including a reassurance that the agreement does not invalidate fee-simple title.
The agreements recognize Musqueam’s Aboriginal rights and expand the Nation’s role in areas such as fisheries, stewardship, and marine emergency management.
BCREA says it is monitoring the situation and will continue to provide information and context as more details become available. You can find more resources on this topic on BCREA’s “Trust as the Foundation of Property Ownership” site.
You can read BCREA’s full letter to members on our website. We will share more on this as information becomes available.
