Tell BCFSA what you think about the collection of real estate data
BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) is asking licensees to comment on proposed amendments to the Real Estate Services Rules aimed at strengthening and clarifying BCFSA’s authority to collect real estate data. The deadline to provide feedback is August 27.
The goal of the amendments is to enhance BCFSA’s ability to gather information so they have a deeper understanding of current real estate market conditions and practices, including market-driven risks to residential real estate buyers and sellers.

Share your standard forms feedback with BCREA ahead of November’s update
This November, the BC Real Estate Association (BCREA) will release their annual standard forms update. The update includes revisions to several of BCREA’s standard forms and the addition of new clauses.
BCREA’s created this new guide that explains what’s changing, why it’s changing, and how the change will affect your practice. It also includes a revision guide for each form, followed by a draft copy of the new form with the revisions included and highlighted.
BCREA is asking for REALTOR® feedback on these changes. Send it to standardforms@bcrea.bc.ca by noon on Friday, August 25.
