Be aware of Paragon outages January 26-28
Paragon will undergo a large-scale infrastructure upgrade starting at 7 pm on Monday, January 26, that'll last approximately 36 hours with system-wide downtime for the last 12 hours. The work is expected to be complete by 6 am Wednesday, January 28.
This upgrade is part of a massive project to modernize Paragon's infrastructure to improve performance.
Here are the outages related to this upgrade that you need to be aware of. Please share this information with the members in your office.
New phone system, webchat, and more coming to GVR
The GVR team has been working hard on our Service Re-Imagined initiative – a collection of modernizations and process improvements aimed at delivering better service to you.
We are delivering a wide variety of service upgrades and new features in the coming weeks, including AI-assisted phone routing, webchat support on our member website, a case management system, and a new knowledge base for staff to serve you better.
New REALTORS® will need to complete updated Paragon Connect training after February 2
Beginning February 2, new members joining your office will need to complete a new, updated Intro to Paragon course as their required Paragon training.
Now offered through the British Columbia Real Estate Association’s (BCREA) Learning Management System (LMS), the course has been redesigned to focus on Paragon Connect, the mobile-friendly version of Paragon.
We’ll share the link when it’s available after February 2, along with more details about the course.
This free, two-hour self-directed course provides a foundational understanding of Paragon Connect’s tools and navigation, helping new REALTORS® get up and running quickly.
The current Paragon course focused on the desktop Pro version will no longer be required for new members after February 2, but it will still be available for members who want to learn how to use this version of Paragon.
If you have established Realtors in your office looking to learn how to better use Paragon Connect, the new, self-paced course will be available on BCREA’s LMS to all members for free.
Encourage your new Realtors to complete this updated course early so they’re ready to manage listings and client data in Paragon Connect from day one.
PDP Changes: A Managing Broker Perspective
As leaders in your office, managing brokers play a key role in supporting professionalism and professional development. With PDP requirements now set at 21 hours, you may be considering how best to guide the members in your office.
In this episode of Brokers Corner, GVR Account Executive Brian Spencer sits down with Josh Bath, REALTOR®, Managing Broker, and Instructor with GVR, to discuss the PDP changes from a managing broker’s perspective — including what this means for leadership, oversight, and supporting Realtors in practice.
Watch the conversation to hear how a managing broker is thinking about these changes at the brokerage level.
Brokers Corner is a GVR video series featuring conversations with managing brokers and leaders across the profession, exploring trends and changes shaping real estate in Greater Vancouver.
