BCFSA releases major update to residential contract clauses
The BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) has released a significant update to the template contract clauses used with the British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) Contract of Purchase and Sale – Residential.
The revision includes approximately 100 changes, ranging from new and deleted clauses to modifications of existing ones.
While many of the updates are minor, several have meaningful implications for practice. We expect members may have questions as they review and begin working with the revised clauses.
The updated clauses are now available in WEBForms and in BCFSA’s Knowledge Base.
If you have questions about the revised clauses, BCFSA has advised that REALTORS® should contact their Professional Standards Advisors at 604-660-3555 or 1-866-206-3030, Monday to Friday.

New AI-assisted phone routing live at GVR
GVR has a new AI-assisted phone routing system designed to connect you with the right specialist faster and with fewer steps.
Instead of navigating menus or being transferred between teams, members can simply state the reason they’re calling GVR and the system will connect them to the right person.
New REALTORS® need to complete updated Paragon Connect training after February 2
As of February 2, new members joining your office need to complete a new, updated Intro to Paragon course as their required Paragon training.
Now offered through the British Columbia Real Estate Association’s (BCREA) Learning Management System (LMS), the course has been redesigned to focus on Paragon Connect, the mobile-friendly version of Paragon.
This free, two-hour self-directed course provides a foundational understanding of Paragon Connect’s tools and navigation, helping new REALTORS® get up and running quickly.
The current Paragon course focused on the desktop Pro version will no longer be required for new members after February 2, but it will still be available for members who want to learn how to use this version of Paragon.
If you have established Realtors in your office looking to learn how to better use Paragon Connect, the new, self-paced course will be available on BCREA’s LMS to all members for free.
Encourage your new Realtors to complete this updated course early so they’re ready to manage listings and client data in Paragon Connect from day one.
