Throughout 2025, we have continued to achieve steady progress across the priorities you have identified as most important: professionalism, service excellence, innovation, and long-term organizational strength.
New self-serve features now available in My Profile
Members can now update more of their personal and professional information directly through My Profile on our member website.
Editable fields now include biography, personal details, and online presence, while office, licence, and subscription details remain managed by GVR.

The British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) has released the recording of its recent webinar, Trust as the Foundation of Property Ownership, which examines the Cowichan Tribes v. Canada court decision and its potential effects on property ownership and the Torrens system in British Columbia.

Medallion 2025 update: Check your status, team fixes, and more
With the year wrapping up, now’s the time to review your Medallion profile and make sure all your sales are recorded.
Please take a moment to check your sales listed on the My Medallion section of our member website. If you believe any are missing, contact us at mlssales@gvrealtors.ca.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be updating team memberships to ensure your Medallion participation matches your BCFSA team status. We expect to have this completed by December 18 and will send reminders to check your team status once updates are done.
Our development team has also rolled out an update to fix the issue where team members didn’t earn an additional Medallion year when achieving Medallion status just in time for Medallion 2025. No matter how you qualify for Medallion status this year, your Medallion year total will now be updated correctly.
Have your say: BCFSA invites feedback on proposed policy ideas
On November 18, 2025, the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) released a discussion paper titled, “Strengthening Confidence in Real Estate Services”. The paper outlines several policy ideas aimed at enhancing transparency, fairness, and professionalism across the real estate sector.
BCFSA is inviting input from both consumers and real estate licensees as it explores possible changes. These ideas could inform future regulatory proposals affecting how REALTORS® work with clients and the public.
The discussion paper and consultation materials are available on BCFSA’s website. Feedback must be submitted by Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:59 pm PT.
