Medallion Club 2023: Reporting deadline, new portal, and teams changes
We’re nearing the end of 2023, which means the deadline for reporting sales to count towards your Medallion Club status is coming up fast. Here’s a quick rundown on what you need to know if you’re looking to qualify for Medallion Club in 2023.
Reporting Medallion Club sales
The deadline for sales to count towards Medallion 2023 is coming up on December 31. Please make sure to look over your sales to make sure they’re accurate. Only sales submitted before end of day on December 31 will be considered as part of the Medallion program.
If you need to reconcile any sales, or update any discrepancies, please contact sales@rebgv.org.
While the deadline for sales is the end of December, you can reconcile any sales until January 15.
Your Medallion status may change based on BCFSA registration
Earlier this year, we updated our Medallion Club policies to help make the program fairer, and to align the definition of a Medallion team with the BC Financial Services Authority’s (BCFSA) definition.
These changes are in effect for the 2023 Medallion Club qualifying year and may affect your status.
Everything you need to know about CREA’s REALTOR® Cooperation Policy
CREA’s Realtor Cooperation Policy goes into effect January 3, 2024. Starting that day, members must place their residential listings on the MLS® System within three business days of public marketing, with some exceptions.

CREA names Janice Myers as new CEO
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) recently announced Janice Myers will be their new CEO starting January 2, 2024.
She replaces interim CEO Debra Cowan, after former CEO Michael Bourque stepped down in the fall of 2023.
Myers is currently CEO of the Ottawa Real Estate Board. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director of the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board (now part of the Association of Interior REALTORS®). She has wide and varied experiences working with association executive councils, working groups, and real estate industry committees.
